Eid al-Adha is one of the major Muslim holidays celebrated every year. On this holy day, Muslims around the world perform sacrifices as a form of respect and devotion to Allah SWT. Rejection is one of the pillars of Islam that must be carried out for those who can.
The origin of the sacrifice on Eid al-Adha comes from the story of Prophet Ibrahim AS and his son, Prophet Ismail AS. In the story, Allah SWT ordered Prophet Ibrahim AS to slaughter his son, Prophet Ismail AS, as a form of sacrifice and devotion to Him. Although initially, Prophet Ibrahim AS felt sad and heavy-hearted, he still obeyed the orders of Allah SWT and was willing to sacrifice his son.
However, when Prophet Ibrahim AS was preparing to slaughter his son, Allah SWT sent a sheep instead to be slaughtered. This shows that Allah SWT does not want human sacrifice as a form of worship, but rather a willingness to sacrifice and devote oneself to Him.
Since then, Muslims around the world have been sacrificing Eid al-Adha as a form of respect and devotion to Allah SWT. In this worship, Muslims slaughter sacrificial animals as a symbol of willingness to sacrifice and devote themselves to Allah SWT. The meat is then distributed to people in need.
Sacrifice has a profound meaning for Muslims. Aside from being a form of respect and devotion to Allah SWT, qurbani is also a symbol of willingness to sacrifice for the benefit of mankind. Sacrifice also teaches us to share with others, especially with people in need.
The implementation of sacrifice begins with choosing a sacrificial animal that meets the predetermined requirements, such as age, gender, and so on. After that, the sacrificial animals are slaughtered in the right way and by Islamic law. The meat is then distributed to others, including the needy.
The act of sacrifice has many lessons to be learned. Aside from being a form of obedience to Allah SWT, qurbani also teaches us to sacrifice something we love for the sake of mankind. Sacrifice also teaches us to share with others and help those in need. By sacrificing, we can also feel the happiness and blessings given by Allah SWT.
Sacrifice is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam. Aside from being a form of obedience to Allah SWT, Qurbani also teaches us to sacrifice for the benefit of mankind. By sacrificing, we can also feel the happiness and blessings given by Allah SWT. Therefore, let us perform sacrifice with full awareness and sincerity.
